| the basics |
| we're a celeb comm that hopes to encourage more writing by taking a page from pb: monthly activity schedules, free for alls, and encouraging public plot posts or narratives if you so choose. we also hope to bring you prompts, opportunities to connect with other writers through custom swaps, and more. we ask that you observe the basics of rp etiquette along the way: don't godmod, don't plagiarize, respect the ic/ooc boundary, don't be a creep. |
| setting up & applying |
| your username should be derived from your character's name or stage name with nothing extraneous like special characters. we ask that you backdate an ic contact post and an ooc contact post with screened comments. you may lock both of these to friends only after you have been accepted as a member. we would like to see two examples of writing (posts or threads), either posted in your journal or otherwise left in our dropbox. please have at least one icon of your character uploaded.
as far as celebrities go, they must be at least 18 years of age and notable in entertainment industries like film, television, music, modeling, or sports. content creators/influencers are not a category that we will be permitting at this time, but if your character has a career beyond social media, we will consider them for membership. if you aren't sure if they count, feel free to ask! if your application is rejected, we will not be responding to comments asking us to explain that decision. however, if there's anything you can rectify before adds (such as requesting subcommunity membership), we'll let you know to give you a fair shot. |
| activity & updating |
| we're trying to do things a little differently when it comes to activity, but introing is still the same as most places: introduce yourself within 72 hours either through making a post in your own journal or in the subcommunity limos.
each month, we ask that you (a) post one entry of at least 100 words of original writing, (b) make sure your friends list is reasonably up to date, and (c) respond to the majority of your comments. that's right, one post a month, at any time during the month. if you want to post more frequently, that's fine and even encouraged! you can even disable comments on your post of 100+ words as long as you make another interactive post in your journal or limos. if you are added after the middle of the month, you only have to intro for that month. we will also make an activity check post once a month to make sure members are still around and checking in, and we reserve the right to change things up if we feel the system is being abused. if anyone seems inactive, we may reach out to them, but we won't kick anyone out for inactivity unannounced unless it is blatant like having a vastly outdated friends list. since we only ask that you update with writing once a month, we will keep track of your activity and mark it on the taken list. no need to drop it off yourself! however, if you notice that we've missed something, please let us know as ij can sometimes get a little glitchy. |
| hiatuses/extensions |
| extensions will be offered if you cannot meet the activity requirement during the month in question but can update within the five days following. you will still have to do the next month's update within the allotted time. hiatuses are offered for four weeks or longer. |
| apps |
| we know that many people are on the go most of the time, so we will not ban any apps from use by our members. however, we do not have an officially moderated group chat on any app. |
